Welcome To The Jediism Temple

This is not a website for roleplaying or general Star Wars fandom.  The Jediism Temple is dedicated to providing a comfortable and serious environment for those wishing to learn and practice the actual, real-world Jedi religion and philosophies, also known as Jediism.

When you see the word Jedi throughout this website, understand that I’m not talking about the fictional characters from Star Wars like Yoda or Obi-Wan Kenobi The interior of the Jedi Temple from Star Wars.(for the most part), but about real, flesh and blood people who practice Jediism as a religion, personal philosophy, life model, or other personal or spiritual application.

Jedi are men and women who have taken the metaphysical and philosophical models presented in Star Wars – specifically those referring to the Force – and amalgamated them with real-world models from systems such as Buddhism, Taoism, and various other karmic and mystic philosophies and religions.

I am proud to present the Jediism Temple as an open resource for those practicing Jediism on their own, without the support of overly structured forums that limits the development of their students due to a rigorous and jealously protected ranking system.  Instead, I believe that Jediism should be a free religious path where interested people can develop at their own speed instead of over a lengthy and often taxing apprenticeship under a “master.”

Though this site may develop slowly over time, it is the intention of this website to offer any ideas or practices associated with the Jedi Path free and without restriction, without the need to spend years begging to become a “Knight” or “Master.”  We are all Jedi, and ranks are just another example of the limitless egotism of man.

And as you explore this website and learn more about what Jediism is all about, please remember that we are still under construction, and new material will be added often.

What Is The Jediism Temple All About?

The Jediism Temple believes that Force, the mystical energy field that surrounds us, penetrates us, and flows through us, is very real.  We also believe that what Jedi call the Force is synonymous with many other energies, such as:An artistic golden silhouette of a woman in a meditation pose.

  • Qi (Chi)
  • Prana
  • Manna
  • Vital Energy
  • Odic Force
  • Life Force
  • Holy Spirit
  • Etc.

I also believe in the importance of continuous self-improvement and a healthy emotional and mental state acquired through meditation and emotional self-awareness.  And most importantly of all, I believe in practicing general kindness, compassion, and decency toward our fellow human beings.

What The Jediism Temple Does Not Believe

In a world where Jediism too often walks the line between spirituality and fantasy, those things that I do not believe are just as important as those things that I do believe.

While some of my more exotics discussions may lean toward the esoteric (such as energy healing and intuition Count Dooku from Star Wars Episode II casting lightning.development), I will not spend our valuable time discussing the possibilities of telekinesis, mind control, or summoning bolts of lightning from my fingertips.

A few other examples include, but are not at all limited to:

  • I Do Not Hold The Jedi As Guardians Of Peace And/Or Justice
  • I Do Not Believe That Some Imagined Anti-Culture (The Sith) Is Constantly Out To Get Me
  • I Do Not Believe That George Lucas Was A Prophet Who Penned The Actual History Of Some Other Galaxy
  • I Do Not Believe That Constructing A Real Lightsaber Should Be Humanity’s Highest Priority

And there are many, many other ideas presented by the fiction Jedi of Star Wars that do not fit into the Jediist Temple’s canon.  Far more than this short list might suggest.
